The hotel is located very conveniently, close to all major shopping areas in Melbourne CBD, offering a unique experience with proximity to various local attractions. The rooms are homely, comfortable, always clean, and well-stocked, but they tend to become very stuffy. The staff are both friendly and very helpful, making the service experience pleasant. The dining options, despite limited breakfast choices, are generally superb. The hotel provides facilities that cater well to guests' needs.

However, the policy over long weekends affected the atmosphere in the open-air courtyard. The service was lacking in basic customer service aspects, but the location was great for my activities in St Kilda.
